The Girl Blue Project is suspending all 2011 summer classes in preparation for our 10th Anniversary Street Theatre Initiative (Girl Blue S.T.I). As we enter Phase 2 of Girl Blue, we will be developing new and exciting workshops for teen girls. The classes for Girl Blue S.T.I. will continue to focus on Empowerment, Building Self-Esteem, and Social Responsibility but with a stronger emphasis on the ARTS and LIFE SKILLS. ALL CLASSES ARE FREE! This is a new endeavor for The Girl Blue Project and we are interested in working with youth who represent the diverse cultures of Los Angeles.

Any young woman between the ages of 13 and 18 interested in participating in the Street Theatre Initiative please contact us via email at info@thegirlblueproject.org or complete the Girl Blue S.T.I APPLICATION. WE WILL BE ACCEPTING YOUTH OF ALL ETHNCITIES, RELIGIOUS BACKGROUNDS AND SEXUAL ORIENTATION with a concentration in urban areas, homeless teens, low income and foster care youth. We are looking forward to this new endeavor and working directly with the youth in the Los Angeles communities.

YOGA-We will begin each day with Anasura yoga.

SELF-AWARENESS- It’s all about being the best YOU from the inside and out! This class is private and confidential. What’s said and done here stays here.

Womens Health/HIV Education - Health is most important. Teen girls need to truly understand their bodies and the health risks they are exposed to. When you know better you do better.

Life Skills Workshops include: Money Management and Etiquette/Social Skills

Performing ARTS - There will be a lot of DANCING, WRITING, SINGING , ACTING and much more!
